Karen & James Montrêux Golf & Country Club Wedding
Karen told me as she was getting ready that she doesn’t like to be the center of attention and that she wasn’t nervous about marrying James, but nervous to walk down the isle and have everyone looking at her. Well she might have been nervous, but she didn’t show it. She was such a beautiful bride. (I know James thought so.) You could see him beaming as she got close. This wedding at Montrêux Golf & Country Club worked out perfectly for me as a photographer. As soon as the ceremony began a cloud covered the Patty Sheehan Practice Hole. The light was beautiful and soft and the sun continued to play hide-and-seek with the big puffy clouds. After the ceremony we were taking wedding party photos and it was like someone turned on the wind. Then the lightning and thunder came. It was a rush to photograph the couple before the clouds opened up. But it never rained, and the lightning never go too close. (Which I liked because I’m holding a big metal camera.) The thunder provided a great soundtrack for the couple’s photo shoot, and I think thunder is terribly romantic.
