I don’t normally shoot fashion shows. Mostly because I like to concentrate on kids and weddings. But when the opportunity came it was a good exercise to shoot outside of my box. I approached this assignment like any other assignment– as a photojournalist. Tell the story. The room was extremely dark so flash was a must. There were about 20 photographers there and they were all standing in the same place for the show. I decided I didn’t want images the same as the herd, so I hid out back stage and got my shots there. I always want to be different. So while I didn’t get any “head on” shots, I think I have some creative and different images. Enjoy.
