My mission is:

To capture the authentic moments of your day in beautiful images that you and your family will cherish for the rest of your life.

As a wedding photographer, I know that your wedding day will be one of the greatest days of your life.

It may sound simple, but it can put a lot of pressure on you to plan and complete the perfect wedding day.

When so much time, energy and love goes into planning your wedding, you naturally want everything to be perfect and the pictures to capture it all. Most couples want to look natural and feel beautiful in their photos. This pressure can lead to awkwardness and a focus on getting every shot on their list, rather than relaxing and enjoying the moment. I did it at my own wedding!

Instead of relaxing and having fun, I wanted the perfect picture. In the end, it’s not about the perfect photo that you can post on Instagram or Pinterest. It’s about beautifully showing the intimate moments between you and your partner and the love between you, your family and friends.

These are the moments you will remember and cherish in the years to come. Your job is to enjoy each other on your big day. My job is to document, in the best way, beautifully the moments you will never forget.

When we take pictures together

My previous career as a photojournalist was full of adventure. When I sit and think about the many private photo sessions I have been a part of, the most successful have one feature in common – the adventure. The photo sessions with bridal couples and families that had the best results, with the funniest and happiest clients, they all have something in common – they have given themselves to the adventure.

Wedding

The real magic happens when the bride and groom throw the caution out the window and do not worry about stains and ugly hair for dinner. They are ready to surrender to the weather (which in Denmark is completely insane and always changing, even from minute to minute.)

When you decide you want to run into the ocean to get some great photos, I’m there to support and cheer you on. When you say, “I do not care if it rains with rain outside, I do not want to compromise my vision.” I’m there to support and cheer on you all the way. Because the more adventurous you are on your wedding day, the more stories you can tell and remember later. We go on these adventures together, but in typical photojournalistic style, I like being an observer. I do my absolute best for you to remember your wedding day with some lovely photo memories. The great adventure you take on in your new life together, surrounded by friends and family. Help to remember how played in the rain together. How your father got tears in his eyes when he welcomed your partner to the family. How you danced until late at night. These are the memories you need to remember from your day, and not the logistics of taking photos. That is my primary task.

Children and families

Family photography is a unique opportunity to stop time for a brief moment – in a childhood that is going so fast. I never force children to sit down and smile. Fine if they feel like it, but I think the magical moments come from when we play the same, or they look deep into Grandma’s eyes. As a mom, I understand what it is like to have a baby or a toddler. If they need to eat, or change diapers, or just take a break, we can do it. I sound like your child, and when that’s done, we’ll end the session.

My values:

Equality, Honesty and Adventure

I believe in and use in my business and everyday life:
Gender equality – everyone has the right to be who they are and to love who they want to be. Love is love.
Honesty – something my parents taught me. When we are honest in advance
it helps prevent conflicts later.
Adventure- Let’s have fun together and come back with great photos and one
fantastic story.

Experienced press photographer

I’ve always loved telling stories, but I wasn’t that good at writing. During my training as a journalist, I quickly found out that my passion and qualities were intertwined with my camera. I’m an introvert and it’s hard for me to start a conversation. But put a camera in my hands, and shyness and confidence melt away. I focus on the here and now and try to create the images that make my clients static.

My career started as a photojournalist for the Reno Gazette-Journal, where I took pictures of news, sports, fashion, food and politics. Yes, even presidents. I’ve seen the worst in people and the best in people. I have seen people take their last breath on the cement right in front of me. I have seen forest fires tear through entire communities and I have seen neighbors help each other and rebuild their lives.

I’ve been featured in the New York Times, Sports Illustrated, San Francisco Chronicle, Women’s World, and Washington Post.

I feel privileged to witness many historical events, but I feel the same privilege when a couple chooses me to document their big day, or their child taking their first steps.
